Bonus Program: Exclusive Rates and Digital Membership Cards

Best Western Rewards members now have access to special rates – up to 10 percent off on the best flexible rate. In the countries of Best Western Hotels & Resorts Central Europe the discount will also be available for saver rates and early web specials. In addition, Best Western Hotels & Resorts is one of the first hotel chains to offer digital membership cards for its Best Western Rewards bonus program: members of the free program can use a digital Best Western Rewards card instead of a plastic card. Additionally, points will no longer expire in the global customer loyalty program, ensuring that collected points remain valid indefinitely.

Eschborn (Germany), May 4th 2017. Membership with benefits: The participants of the Best Western Hotels & Resorts' free bonus program, Best Western Rewards, are now benefiting from exclusive overnight accommodation rates that are only accessible to them. The new Best Western Rewards Rate offers exclusive rates of up to ten percent below the best flexible rate in over 4,200 Best Western Hotels worldwide to the approximately 30 million members of the program. In the countries of Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Luxembourg, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic, members of Best Western Rewards receive corresponding discounts also for the saver rate or the early web special. Travelers who already have a Rewards customer number, can log in with their member data on the Best Western website at www.bestwestern.com/rewardsrate and then get an overview and access to the available Best Western Rewards rates. Visualized by the Rewards logo, the Best Western Rewards Rate is indicated in the regular search and booking process on the Best Western websites.

 

In addition, Best Western Hotels & Resorts is one of the first hotel chains to offer digital customer cards to members in its free customer loyalty program Best Western Rewards. Instead of carrying a plastic Best Western Rewards customer card, members can order a digital card for their smartphones, and can carry their card numbers with them in their smartphones. The digital cards can be saved in Apple Wallet, Android Pay, or another app on their mobile device.

 

No expiration date: points with unlimited validity

Members can also benefit from another change to the Best Western Rewards program: collected points will no longer expire after a certain time, as they do in many other loyalty programs. Instead, they will remain valid indefinitely. In the loyalty program, which was created in 1988 and is free for members, guests collect Best Western Hotels points for overnight stays, which they can trade in for free nights in over 4,000 hotels worldwide. Additionally, all Best Western Rewards participants can enjoy offers available exclusively to members. Over 20 airlines have signed on as international cooperative partners in Best Western Rewards. Other cooperating companies include car rental agents AVIS and Sixt, and Germany’s largest bonus system Payback.

 

Advantages for Elite members after just ten overnight stays

After just a few overnight stays, members reach the Elite Status Level, which offers many additional advantages. Depending on their status, Elite members receive perks like up to 50 percent additional bonus points on overnight stays, exclusive offers just for members, upgrades to the next higher room category, or welcome gifts when they arrive. Members will achieve Gold Status after just ten overnight stays, or seven stays within a calendar year, providing them with ten percent bonus points on the regular points assigned for each overnight stay. After 15 nights, members will achieve Platinum Status, providing an additional 15 percent bonus points on overnight stays, a room upgrade, and a welcome gift upon arrival. Members with 30 overnight stays in one year in Best Western Hotels worldwide achieve Diamond Status, which ensures them 30 percent bonus points on overnight stays. The highest member status is Diamond Select, achieved after 50 overnight stays in a single year. With the Diamond Select card, members receive an additional 50 percent bonus points on overnight stays.

 

Best Western Elite Status over night

Guests who have already achieved an Elite Status in another hotel bonus program can also enjoy their Elite advantages at Best Western Hotels & Resorts through the “Best Western Rewards Status Match.” To do so, all they need to do is fill out a form on the website www.bestwestern.de/rewards, and submit the form along with a current account statement from their hotel bonus program. Guests will then also promptly receive the appropriate status level at Best Western, securing them the advantages of Elite membership.
