You can visit the Brandenburger Tor at the Pariser Platz or maybe the nearby Potsdamer Platz, the most modern place of Europe with the impressive SONY Center where the museum for Film und Fernsehen (Movie and TV) is really worth a visit. At the Alexanderplatz you will find the Rote Rathaus (Red Town Hall) which is the residence of the ruling mayor. The beautiful boulevard Unter den Linden leads to the Berlin Cathedral nearby the museum island, where our chancellor Angela Merkel has her private residence. There are people who are visiting the five museums just to view the magnificent premises – not to mention the artworks. In the distinguished Friedrichstraße you can excellently feast in the French department store Lafayette. Nearby you can find the museum THE KENNEDYS. You can stroll through the Hackeschen Höfe where the young fashion labels establish themselves. All around the Hackeschen Markt really everything (……) is purchasable. Precious boutiques of well-known designers and chique restaurants with celebrity density are located around the Gendarmenmarkt, one of the most beautiful Piazzas of Europe. It is surrounded by the Concert Hall, the German and the French Dom. Make a stop at the multicultural restaurants, bars, berlin pubs – and at the currywurst- takeaway (curry sausage). We ca tell you where to find the best currywurst of the city. You don’t like currywurst? For sure you will in Berlin! Do you like animals? Than you should go to the Berlin Zoo, which is still famous even though our polar bear Knut has died already. Are you tired? Together with the first summer-sunrays the capitol gets a new face: Parties, concerts and festivals as well as street cafes give the city almost Mediterranean charm. A wide range of Street festivals, classic concerts, theatre and opera shows are surprising with diversified offers. The copious open-air cinemas in parks show a wide selection of movies under the open sky and guarantee entertaining summer nights. In May the season for the beach bars begins.
