First Best Western Hotels with New Logos in Central Europe

Best Western Hotels & Resorts started its announced brand refresh worldwide. Now, the rebranding of the first Best Western hotels in Central Europe with new logos has begun. The modern logos help to clearly position the group and distinguish between its individual brands, paving the way for the future.

Bern/Eschborn/Vienna, December 13th, 2016. The worldwide Best Western logo relaunch has started: The first Best Western hotels in Central Europe now have a whole new external look with the new Best Western logos. The group has presented updated, unmistakable logos for the three brands Best Western, Best Western Plus, and Best Western Premier – they clearly differentiate the three brands from one another, while underlining the new brand strategy. The new logo is already visible in Central Europe on Best Western Plus Parkhotel Velbert in Velbert, Germany. Other German hotels in Unterfoehring near Munich, Ratingen, Mannheim and Sindelfingen also belong to the first ones with the new logo. Additional locations and countries will follow soon. “We are proud that now the brand refresh is also visible on our hotels, and that the first hotels have installed the new logos. In the year of the 70th anniversary of our brand, we are reinventing it with a complete brand refresh”, said Marcus Smola, CEO Best Western Hotels Central Europe GmbH. The hotel group started the rebranding process in more than 230 Best Western Hotels in Central Europe. “Our central communication has already been completely switched over, both in print and online. The hotel re-branding campaign will be finished by the end of 2017”, explains Smola.

New logos to clearly differentiate the individual brands

Best Western Hotels & Resorts is taking a historic step this year, re-positioning the brand through a comprehensive brand relaunch process: the traditional logo has identified individual brand hotels for over two decades. Starting in 2016, the hotel group is promoting a new brand image for its hotel brands Best Western, Best Western Plus, and Best Western Premier. The re-launch and new external image are Best Western's reaction to the shifts and changes the company and its hotels have undergone over the last few years. The logos for all three brands are now modern and unmistakable, offering a new image. “Our beloved logo is getting a little long in the tooth and may be seen as old-fashioned by some. Now, we’re presenting our three brands Best Western, Best Western Plus, and Best Western Premier under one master brand, and we're doing a better job by clearly differentiating them from one another. The new and high-quality external image also better reflects our global hotel portfolio, which is once again on the rise thanks to the high level of investment our hotel operators put into their hotels and their focus on consistent quality management. With this step, we’re responding to the developments of the last ten years, as well as to the accompanying increase in quality offered by our hotels,” explains Smola. “With the new logos, we’re giving our brands worldwide yet another boost. We expect that they will help our hotel group become even better known across the globe. Initial reactions from our guests are all very positive”, says Smola.
