Setting a green example on Arbor Day on April 25: Best Western Hotels are partnering with the start-up B’n’Tree, enabling guests in all countries of the Central European region to plant three trees per booking. Eschborn, Germany, April 25, 2022. In the light of Arbor Day on April 25, guests of Best Western Hotels can get involved with the environment right from the start of their travels in the booking process. Already since 2019, the BWH Hotel Group Central Europe has been actively committed to addressing the climate crisis together with the German start-up B'n'Tree (“bed-and-tree”). For every booking that starts on the joint website of the cooperation partners, three trees will be planted without any additional costs for travelers. "Through our cooperation with B'n'Tree, we are taking another step towards sustainability. With the reforestation that B'n'Tree carries out around the world, we are not only actively combating climate change, but also creating habitat for endangered species as well as jobs for local communities. All our guests who attach particular importance to sustainable tourism and want to get involved even before they start their trip will benefit from this cooperation," explains Carmen Dücker, Managing Director BWH Hotel Group Central Europe. Guests have the choice of which region is supported in the reforestation. The selection ranges from mangrove trees for marine life on the east coast of the Philippines to reforestation of habitat for elephants in Thailand and agroforestry projects in Ghana.

Green Meetings with BWH
With BWH Hotel Group Central Europe, meeting and event planners have a strong partner at their side when it comes to sustainable meetings and events - because climate protection is playing an increasingly important role for many companies. The "green" booking method is also possible in the MICE sector. It works like this: The organizers make a co-payment of three Euros per participant for planting one tree per attendee via B'n'Tree. In this way, they not only combat climate change, but also create jobs in communities in poorer countries.

The green booking is handled directly via the central MICE Desk of BWH Hotel Group Central Europe. Further information via https://mice.bwhhotelgroup.de/en/green-meetings/#Meeting-Desk.
