Bad Rappenau is a town in the northwest of the federal state Baden-Württemberg - in the Kraichgauer Hügelland - about 14 km northwest of Heilbronn and about 50 km southeast of Heidelberg. Rappenau was first mentioned in documents as Rappenau in 1343. After Neckarsulm and Eppingen, Bad Rappenau is the third largest town in the Heilbronn district.
